Dear Partner Agencies,

Thank you for your flexibility and creativity to meet the need increased of your communities, especially now. You inspire us at MANNA as we face the same challenges together.

Knowing that resources and finances are a particular hurdle to meet the need, we are sharing all funding opportunities that may be of benefit. This is our second email linking to resources and we will continue to share opportunities as we learn of them.

None of us are in this alone and it's imperative now more than ever to support one another, to lean on each other and collaborate wherever possible to maximize our impact.

Reach out to other food pantries or meal sites close to you. Ask what new resources your neighbors have found and ask what creative ways they've found to stretch their resources further just as you are. But most importantly, ask how your neighbors are doing and let them know that you're proud of the impact they are making to the communities that you share.

FEMA has Expanded their Public Assistance Program to Include “those providing food assistance”

MANNA's food pantry partners may be eligible to apply for reimbursement from FEMA.

All other partner agencies who think they may want to apply should immediately register for a user name and password with the North Carolina FEMA Office.

We recommend Partner Agencies determine at a later time whether they want to submit the substantial paperwork involved. However, now is the limited time frame to apply for a user name/password with FEMA.

FEMA will ask for:

the agency Tax ID number
DUNS # - Apply for your DUNS # here
Organization’s By-laws
Most recent Form 990 or Audited Report.

KEEP MANNA UPDATED

Many communities and county governments are asking us to direct people seeking food resources to the appropriate agency. To that end it is imperative that you communicate your pantry status and any changes to operations with MANNA as frequently as possible.

Have you changed you distribution dates or hours of distribution?
Will you be shifting to a different style of food distribution? (Example: Drive through or pre-boxed food)
Do you need volunteers from the community?

Communicate any and all changes with your Zone Coordinator or our Agency Relations Coordinator or simply reply to this email.
