We also explored mono printing and gel plate printing, a particular favorite for this fast moving group of artists. The children also designed and carved their own rubber stamps. Finally, we used the last two sessions for our most ambitious project: a lino-cut. We will have a gallery showing of all their works this Thursday. Please stop into the Presidents Room.

The Month of February
A month that was full of warmth, creativity and smiles. Maddie opened up the month with “Resin” week. During this week, kids learned how to work with resin and created beautifully designed keychains, necklaces, and more. On our first half day of the month, we had our very own “Game Show” day. During this time, kids played Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and Let’s Make a Deal. Kids participated in teams to win prizes and put their knowledge to the test! Nicole continued the following week with “Hearts & Crafts” week, accompanied by our Valentine’s day “Make & Bake” sale. The kids created various items to sell for the bake sale, including necklaces and baked goods. The bake sale took place Feb 13th and stretched into Valentines Day. All donations will go to

We also had the awesome opportunity to take a field trip to Altitude Trampoline Park in Franklin as well as watched
Pee-wee’s Big Adventure,
enjoyed with none other than Kurt’s famous popcorn.
Our last project week of the month was “A Taste of Thailand” with Eric. Kids were able to enjoy a delicious snack presented by Eric's sister-in-law who is from Thailand. The kids also created sacred elephants made of old cds, and built traditional Thai fishing boats out of paper.
