Multifactor Authentication launches on July 29, 2025

To ensure customer data security, MAPFRE introduced new log in screens and updated credentials on June 23, 2025. The next step is to enable Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for these credentials beginning on Tuesday, July 29. This additional security measure is in response to the growing global threat of cyberattacks and is intended to help mitigate the risk of unauthorized access to accounts and systems.

As part of the MFA security measures, if you do not log in within 30 days, your account will be temporarily paused on August 28. Should this happen, contact the Agency Interface team to reactivate your account with the MFA setup.

Here is what you can expect on Tuesday, July 29:

When you navigate to AgencyPortalTM (http://connect.acilink.com/AgencyPortal/login), you must setup and then use a secondary verification method to access customer data1. This verification method (MFA) can be a code received via:

  • Landline phone
  • Mobile phone2
  • Mobile authenticator application3
  • Desktop web authenticator extension4

Note: If you want to use both an authenticator and phone, you must follow these steps:

  • Set up the authenticator when you register
  • Call MAPFRE support at 866-776-4222 to set up your phone

Once you have set up your preferred verification method and have logged in, you will have access to all MAPFRE systems that share the same username.

You will be required to complete the MFA process again after a period of eight hours.

Additionally, once your preferred verification method has been configured, you will be able to reset your password using the link provided on the screen.

Additional Support

Please contact Agency Interface at 866-776-4222:

  • To change your MFA method after the initial registration
  • To reset your password, prior to setting your preferred method for MFA

1 Effective immediately, you must add @mapfreagent.com to the end of your existing MAPFRE username in order to access our systems.

For example:

Current username structure:

AP000000

Updated username structure:

AP000000@mapfreagent.com

2 A telephone landline or a mobile number can be used for the call option, but SMS (text) can only be selected if you use a mobile phone number.

3 A mobile authenticator application, which may also be referred to as a two-factor (2FA) authentication service, is a mobile app that generates a one-time passcode. Mobile apps that facilitate this process may include Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator.

4 A desktop web authenticator extension is a tool you add to your browser, like Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, that creates a one-time code to complete your log in. Visit https://authenticator.cc/ or the Chrome store to add an authenticator to your browser and navigate to https://authenticator.cc/docs/en/quickstart for any questions on getting started.
