Dear Council of 101 members,

It’s time to Celebrate Spring at the Museum with a fabulous Art In Bloom Event! I am thrilled we are bringing back many of our show favorites we all enjoy sharing with the community to benefit our Orlando Museum of Art.  Whether it is for a few hours or the entirety of the show, we are all invited to venture into a beautiful world where fine arts and flowers come together. 

Our opening night preview party is a Palm Springs inspired “Moonlight and Martinis – An Artful Oasis” event with complimentary valet parking, gourmet delights by Arthur’s Catering, open bar with creative cocktails, live sketch experiences by the Paper Bar Company and music by The Buzzcatz. You won’t want to miss this!

The talented Danielle Rollins is our featured guest speaker. Tickets are available for the Friday lecture and book signing. You can have an extra special experience with the VIP reception including reserved front row seating.

The Mystery Show House is back with 4 tours on Saturday. Always a sell out; so, don’t miss this opportunity to tour a beautiful home and garden and enjoy light refreshments.

Sunday features our family focused activities and live jazz music in the rotunda.

 We cannot do this without the help of all our members. This organization continues to flourish because you all bring a sincere love for each other working together to contribute creatively to benefit the museum. Purchasing ticket and attending the show is key to our success. You can find ticket purchase details in the membership obligation section of the newsletter. You can also call Vanessa in the office if you need assistance. Tickets for the public will be sold through Eventbrite as well as at the door. 

The business of Council of 101 continues with our important March 17 General meeting. We have the privilege to vote on our 2022-2023 Board of Directors and hear the final exciting details from our Art In Bloom Committees. Our annual meeting is right around the corner so plan for a delightful April Spring Luncheon at Interlachen Country Club.

Report from the Nominating Committee

Per our bylaws, it is the duty of the Nominating Committee to nominate the voting members of the Board, the vacant positions of the Long Range Planning Committee and the Chairman, and the two(2) members from the general membership for the following years Nominating Committee as well as the Chairman. 

Nominees will be voted on at the March General Meeting. Nominations for any office may be made from the floor at the March General Meeting provided consent of the candidate has been obtained prior to the nomination being made.

MEMBER OBLIGATIONS ART IN BLOOM

This year the purchase of all tickets on the Councilof101.org will be applied towards your membership obligation. You may click the link here Councilof101.org or go to Membership Obligations under the Apply for Membership tab from the home page.

The 2022 Financial Membership Obligation for Art in Bloom is:
$130 for Actives and Provisionals
$85 for Associates

If you would prefer to purchase your tickets by check, please click the link HERE, download it,and mail or drop it off in the office with your ticket selections.

We ask that you purchase your obligation all at once to better track how much you have spent towards your obligation. You can double check your purchases by signing into Councilof101.org and clicking on your name at the top right.

Please purchase your membership obligation tickets no later than Monday, March 14th, 2022. Tickets purchased on Eventbrite will not be tracked for membership obligations and will incur fees, please use Council of101.org for ticket purchases. 

Tickets for the General Art In Bloom event, Guest Lecture & Book Signing, and Mystery Home Tours will be available for pick up in the Council of 101 office by Friday, March 18th, 2022. 
Tickets for the Opening Night Party will not be printed, as guest names will be placed on a Guest List.

MARKETING REPORT

All of our marketing activities are in full swing as we countdown to Art in Bloom! The invitations for the preview party are mailed , and the postcard mailer landed in mailboxes over the last weekend. Print advertising has been secured and our electronic media campaigns will launch soon via TV. 

There's never an "easy button" when it comes to producing an amazing event like Art in Bloom; however, together, we can make it easy for our community to learn about this budding fundraiser for our beloved museum. 

To make it easy for you to spread the word you'll find a link to this fact sheet which highlights activities around the 2022 Art in Bloom. Please take the information, pull some of your photos from previous seasons and post about the coming attractions!

No better way than spreading the word through every Council of 101 member! Also, note the link to our splash page which takes you to tickets and the online auction platform, which is live now.

Share the splash page link in your social media posts with your special messages about Art in Bloom. You'll find the link in the fact sheet. Every member can build the excitement about Art in Bloom. 

Have a favorite event? Talk about it on social media. Like a post on our Facebook and Instagram pages! One more thing, if you have a special photo that you'd like to share with me from a previous AIB event, email me or text me. I will put your treasured photo memory to good use!

The Art in Bloom Art and Silent Auction is now live ! Check out the list of amazing artists for orginal, one of a kind works.

The auction will feature over 80 exceptional pieces by 23 of Central Florida’s internationally recognized artists. In addition to painting, sculpture, and works on paper, guests will have the opportunity to bid on a year of monthly floral arrangements, jewelry, and other unique items .
