SECOND SUNDAY IN LENT

WORSHIP WITH HOLY BAPTISM AND HOLY COMMUNION

SUNDAY MARCH 1ST 10:00 A.M.

THE HIVE KIDS CHURCH 10:00 A.M.

Dear friends,

Please come to worship at Saint Andrew's as we celebrate the baptism of Zoey Mae Fitzgibbon and the Second Sunday in Lent at 10:00 a.m., in person or online via YouTube. We would love for you to join us!

Saint Andrew's offers worship services in person and online, trusting in the Holy Spirit that unites us whether we are in the same place. Worship at 10:00 a.m. is livestreamed via the link below. The same link connects to the recorded service for those unable to attend on Sunday morning.

Links to online worship and worship materials are available in our weekly worship and newsletter emails, on our website at http://www.standrewsofsmithtown.org and on our Facebook page, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church of Smithtown.

Sunday Schedule

  • Principal Sunday Holy Communion 10:00am

  • The Hive KIDS church 10:00am

All families will gather together at 10:00 AM worship in the main church. After a brief time in worship, the children will be joyfully dismissed to the rear classrooms within the church building for a 30-minute, age-appropriate lesson. They will then rejoin their families in time for Holy Communion.

Communion at Saint Andrew's

We celebrate the Lord's Supper from the altar.

The Pastor places an individual wafer into the communicant's hand and the worship assistant offers a pre-filled single-use communion cup of wine or grape juice. Gluten free wafers are available upon request.

Please follow the ushers' guidance on when to come forward.

After receiving communion kindly drop the recyclable communion cups into the bowl offered by the acolyte or usher.

  • It is the Lutheran tradition to commune using both elements, however, we believe Christ is fully present when receiving one kind (bread or wine/grape juice)

  • Those not communing and children are invited forward to receive a blessing and may cross their arms to indicate their intentions.

IF YOU ARE WORSHIPPING ONLINE AND WOULD LIKE COMMUNION, PLEASE CALL THE CHURCH OFFICE AND PASTOR WILL BRING COMMUNION TO YOU. (631-265-2288)
