Free Summer Program!
Applications are now available for Power Scholars Academy , a free YMCA summer program . Power Scholars runs from June 10th to July 19th, 9am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday. Download the application HERE and return it to Marina Middle or email a scanned copy to JFrancheterre@ymcasf.net.
Game and Pizza Night THIS FRIDAY
This Friday, March 8th, will be another chance to attend our monthly GaP (Game and Pizza) Night, held in the cafeteria from 4:30 - 6PM! There will be food, games, and fun! Feel free to bring the whole family. Sign up below!

This month has been filled with achievement by our very own Marina Penguins!
  • A group of students are finalist in the Breath CA Film Festival
  • Eloise "Lola" Hewitt has qualified for the California State GeoBee Competition at Cal State Fresno University
  • SFUSD Superintendent Matthews gave a shout-out on twitter to Marina Middle for our four years of consecutive growth! #GoPenguins

Family Hike
Join us for our Family Hike, happening on Saturday, April 13th from 11am - 1pm . There will be prizes and a presentation about keeping our beaches clean! We will be meeting at the Land's End parking lot (2599 El Camino Del Mar) and hiking part of the Land's End Trail (about 2 miles total). Register Here !!
School Site Summit
On Saturday, March 2nd staff, parents and the Marina Beacon Center attended the SFUSD School Site Summit and discussed goals for school year 2019-2020 as part of the school budget planning process.
What is Beacon?!
The Beacon Center is a new initiative at Marina that provides extra resources and support to the Marina Middle Community. Beacon programs include lunch clubs, family events, after-school, and summer programs. Marina Beacon hopes to help your student achieve success in whatever way possible! Find out more info HERE.
Did you know
V isitors ages 17 and under always receive free admission to the permanent collection galleries at the Legion of Honor and de Young Museum? Also, for San Francisco residents, general admission to the de Young and Legion of Honor will be free every Saturday starting April 6. Visit a museum !
