A.S. Government Corner
Associated Students has so much in store for you this month! Student government elections, social justice workshops, and a Spartan talent show are just a few of the many events, programs, and opportunities that are available to you this March. 

The A.S. Board of Directors welcomes Pia Mandrekar as the new A.S. Director of Communications. Pia was sworn in at the February 13th board meeting and will serve in this position for the remainder of the semester. As the Director of Communications, Pia will assist the Board in publicizing the activities of Associated Students to all students. 

Applications for A.S. Scholarships 2019-2020 are now open. Awards range from $500 - $2,000. To learn more, please click here. Applications are due May 1st. Get those applications in, Spartans! 

Nominations for the A.S. 55 Award are now open! Associated Students annually recognizes up to 55 student leaders who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to SJSU and who continually give back to the community. Nominate yourself or a fellow Spartan here. Nominations are due on March 22nd by 4pm.

A.S. Elections: Build Your Legacy!
Campaigning begins March 18th.

Join us for food, games, and prizes at our annual Elections Kick Off held on Monday, March 18th on 7th Street Plaza from 12pm-3pm.

In this workshop, participants will explore the ways that art tactics serve as tangible sites of challenge and empowerment for people with hxstorically marginalized identities. Participants will be able to design and create their own block prints based on their identities, experiences, and activism.

Attention! VTA New Transit Service Plan 2019

The plan proposes to shift the ridership-to-coverage ratio from the current 70/30 to 90/10. This means 90 percent of VTA resources would be dedicated to high ridership routes while 10 percent would be dedicated to VTA’s service coverage area.To learn more about the plan, please click here.
