A highlight of each summer is our EXCURSION to the MARLBORO MUSIC FESTIVAL. In a special setting on a rural hilltop in VERMONT, master concert artists join exceptional young professionals to rehearse, study, and play together as one musical family. In addition to attending three concerts at the festival’s spectacular final weekend, you will have a chance to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of NEW ENGLAND, with its charming towns, country stores, and wonderful restaurants. Visits to six museums are included in CONNECTICUT, MASSACHUSETTS, NEW HAMPSHIRE, and VERMONT!

THURSDAY, AUGUST 8 - Depart the Philadelphia area and travel along the Atlantic Coast en route to OLD LYME, CT. There will be time to wander in the charming town and visit the FLORENCE GRISWOLD MUSEUM, best known for its collection of American Impressionist paintings. Continue on to BRATTLEBORO, VERMONT for check-in at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS. Dinner is included this evening. (D)

FRIDAY, AUGUST 9 – Travel to NEW HAMPSHIRE stopping briefly to see the State Capitol Building in CONCORD before viewing the rich collections at the CURRIER MUSEUM OF ART in MANCHESTER. Optional tours of two Frank Lloyd Wright houses are available as part of the museum’s offerings. Return to BRATTLEBORO in time for an included dinner before our first concert at the MARLBORO MUSIC FESTIVAL. (B, D)

SATURDAY, AUGUST 10 – Attend an optional rehearsal at MARLBORO. Then travel to NEW HAMPSHIRE, enjoying a lunch of sandwiches and cookies from BRATTLEBORO’S iconic AMY’S BAKERY ARTS CAFÉ. You will have the choice of visiting the beautiful HOOD MUSEUM on the campus of Dartmouth College in HANOVER, or the AUGUSTUS ST. GAUDENS MEMORIAL which is further north in CORNISH. Vermont cheese, wine, and more will be available at our hotel before our evening concert at the MARLBORO MUSIC FESTIVAL. (B, L, Light Dinner)

SUNDAY, AUGUST 11 - Sleep in this morning, or spend some time in BRATTLEBORO where you can shop, enjoy lunch on your own, and visit the exceptional BRATTLEBORO MUSEUM and ART CENTER. This afternoon is our final concert at the MARLBORO MUSIC FESTIVAL. Dinner is included this evening. (B, D)

MONDAY, AUGUST 12 – Depart BRATTLEBORO and travel south to WILLIAMSTOWN where you can choose to visit the world-class CLARK ART INSTITUTE, MASS MoCA, and/or the WILLIAMS COLLEGE MUSEUM OF ART. A rest stop will be made on our return trip to PHILADELPHIA

TOUR COST: $2425 per person, double occupancy. The single supplement is $345. INCLUDED FEATURES: Four nights’ accommodations at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS; all taxes on included items; four dinners, one lunch, and full American Breakfast daily; all transportation by deluxe motor coach from the Philadelphia area; admission to included museums; and three chamber music concerts.
