Early Bird Rate Extended!
Through Thursday, May 7
The MAS 2026 Annual Convention & Expo (June 15–18) is just around the corner — and we know how quickly these weeks fly. To give you a little extra runway, we've extended early bird pricing through Thursday, May 7.
A quick reminder: early bird pricing is only available if you register through the MAS Member Portal.
Registrations submitted by email, fax, mail, or fillable form do not qualify for early bird — regular rate applies through May 20, and late rate kicks in after that.
➡️If you've already registered — thank you! We're so glad you'll be with us. Please keep this email handy — there's a lot of helpful information below as you start planning for Biloxi.

This Year's Theme
First Response Starts Local: Working as One
Honoring our First Responders, Military & Emergency Response Partners
This year, MAS is dedicating our convention to the men and women who hold the line when everything is on the line — the first responders, military service members, and emergency response partners who serve across all 82 counties.
From your local sheriff's deputy to the National Guardsman, from volunteer firefighters to county public works crews clearing roads after a storm — county government is where preparedness, response, and recovery come together. First response starts local — and we get there by working as one.
We chose this theme because every county in Mississippi depends on a network of partners — public, private, and volunteer — who answer the call together. We're proud to celebrate that spirit in 2026, and we'd love for you to celebrate it with us.

New this Year!
2026 Theme Booth Challenge
| |
New This Year! We are holding our first Booth theme Challenge tied to our convention theme — First Response Starts Local: Working as One. It's our way of honoring the local hands that hold the line: first responders, military service members, emergency partners, and county public works crews ac ross our 82 counties and you our exhibitors and sponsors. Thank you for partnering with us — we couldn't put on this convention without you.
We're inviting all our exhibitors to help bring our theme to life at your booth. Get creative with anything that speaks to you — patriotic, local first responder, military, emergency response, county public works/county response, or your own twist on what "Working as One" means.
How it works:
-
Decorate your booth around the theme — patriotic, first responder, military, emergency response, public works, or your own take on "Working as One"
-
MAS members vote Tuesday and Wednesday for their favorite themed booths
-
Winners announced Wednesday afternoon during the Exhibitor Grand Door Prize Drawing
There's no entry fee, no separate sign-up, and no minimum — if your booth carries the theme, you're automatically in the running. Members will be going around to each booth to vote on their favorite themed booths.
A few touches go a long way:
- For example: a flag display, a thank-you wall, photos of the first responders in your community, branded gear that nods to service, county PWD memorabilia, or whatever fits your space and your story.
Voting details, prize info, and a few ideas to get the creative wheels turning will go out in our next pre-convention exhibitor email — keep an eye on your inbox.

Exhibit Hall
County Exhibit Hall Challenge
| |
We'll also have our County Exhibit Hall Challenge again — a fun, structured way for our county members to make the rounds and visit each of your booths.
Last year's response was incredible, and this year we're building on that momentum so even more counties get face time with our exhibitors and partners.
We'll have more details closer to convention, but please plan for steady traffic Tuesday and Wednesday — and have your team ready to share a quick hello and what your company offers.
