Join MASBHC's 2016 Annual Conference Planning Committee

Have you attended MASBHC's Annual Conference? 

Did you have any recommendations that you thought would make the conference that much better? 

Then consider joining our 2016 Annual Conference Planning Committee. As a member of the planning committee, you will be required to take part in monthly planning calls, assist with development of the agenda, help recruit speakers and attendees, and assist with fundraising activities. Planning Committee conference calls will begin in September.

School Mental Health Survey 

You are invited to participate in an anonymous survey regarding interprofessional collaboration between school mental health clinicians and pediatric primary care providers. You must be a practicing school mental health professional (including school counselors, school psychologists, school social workers, school nurses, among others) to take part in this survey. 

Your participation involves answering questions about your current practices, comfort in collaborating with pediatric primary care providers, training needs, and beliefs about interprofessional collaboration. If you participate in this study you will have the option of providing your email address to be entered into a raffle for one of two $50 gift cards.

The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. By completing the survey, you are indicating your consent to participate in our study. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Action for Healthy Kids Teacher Wellness Symposium 
 
The  D.C. Office of the State Superintendent of Education  and  Action for Healthy Kids are pleased to invite you to DC's second annual Teacher Wellness Symposium on school-based wellness programming and obesity prevention. 

This one-day symposium will showcase current best practices in improving school-based wellness (student, staff and community) and reducing childhood obesity through prevention and control within the school system. All teachers, school staff, administration, and support personnel throughout the DC, Maryland and Virginia regions are invited to attend.


 

When: Monday, August 10th, 2015; 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Where: The Charles Summer School: 1201 17th Street, NW, Washington, DC

Registration: This event is FREE and includes both continental breakfast and lunch. Registration closes Wednesday, August 5th, 2015
