MARCH 2021
Dear MASD Families:

It’s hard to believe a year has passed since our schools were first closed last March. I want to thank all of you for your commitment to our students and their education. We’ve come a long way since March 2020 and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our faculty, staff, parents and students.

Although things aren’t totally back to “normal” yet, March 2021 looks a lot different than March 2020. We have so much positive news to share with you! Please take a minute to read through the stories linked below. I’m incredibly proud of our students and all that they have accomplished this year!

March is also Music in Our Schools Month. We’ve been celebrating with virtual concerts all month long! You can view the performances on our website. We’ll be adding even more student performances to that page throughout the remainder of the month.

I’m also happy to share that we were able to offer all of our school employees the opportunity to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. I appreciate everything our faculty and staff has done to help us safely open our schools this year.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and our schools!

Sincerely,
Barry J. Balaski
Superintendent
Moon Area School District
