Mauro Castillo, el galardonado artista colombiano, conocido por su increíble versatilidad y extraordinario talento, ha sido nominado a los American Music Awards 2022, recibiendo reconocimiento en la categoría "Colaboración del año" por el gran éxito "We Don't Talk About Bruno”, que aparece en la película ganadora del Premio de la Academia de Disney “ENCANTO”.

Los American Music Awards 2022 se llevarán a cabo el domingo 20 de noviembre y se transmitirán en vivo por ABC desde Microsoft Theatre en L.A. LIVE, en Los Ángeles a las 8 p. m. EST/PST.

Castillo, dos veces nominado al premio Grammy Latino, es un reconocido cantante, compositor, trombonista, actor y productor cuya energía y pasión contagiosas han tocado la vida de oyentes de todo el mundo.

Su incomparable voz se escuchó en más rincones del mundo, cuando fue elegido como “Félix” en las versiones en inglés y en español de “ENCANTO” de Disney, un papel que a principios de este año lo llevó al icónico escenario de la 94.ª edición de los Premios de la Academia para interpretar la exitosa canción de la película "We Don't Talk About Bruno", y eso ahora lo ha llevado a recibir su primera nominación a los AMA.

La canción, que también cuenta con la participación de Stephanie Beatriz, Rhenzy Feliz, Adassa y Diane Guerrero, también se acaba de agregar a la lista de Billboard de las 100 mejores canciones de karaoke de todos los tiempos.

Mientras celebra este prestigioso reconocimiento, Castillo también sigue disfrutando del éxito de su contagioso sencillo “CHACHA ME”, una canción innovadora en la que fusiona el chachachá tradicional con el montuno cubano y propone una nueva forma de hacer salsa, actualizándola con tambores y elementos del alma de Nueva York.

La canción muestra una composición llena de buena energía y una entrega emocional por la que se ha vuelto amado, y alienta a los fanáticos a convertir la energía negativa en vibraciones positivas, a través del baile. Castillo también formó parte recientemente del panel “Cultura Clash Live: Colorism and Representation in Latin Music & Media” durante la Semana de la Música Latina de Billboard, donde habló junto a la cantautora Yendry y el influencer y TikToker Kunno.

Mauro Castillo, the award-winning Colombian artist known for his incredible versatility and extraordinary talent, has been nominated to the 2022 American Music Awards, receiving recognition in the “Collaboration of the Year” category for the smash hit “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” featured in Disney’s Academy Award-winning film “ENCANTO.”

The 2022 American Music Awards will take place on Sunday, November 20, and will be broadcast live on ABC from the Microsoft Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles at 8pm EST/PST.

A two-time Latin Grammy Award nominee, Castillo is a renowned singer, songwriter, trombonist, actor, and producer whose infectious energy and passion has touched the lives of listeners all over the world.
