Speaking Opportunity
Have a knack for public speaking? Then we could use you this fall! International students from UW-W will be touring our office and learning about what we do here at Discover Whitewater. We are looking for someone to spend a few minutes talking about what it's like to manage a business in America and answer any questions they may have. If interested, shoot us an email at tourism@discoverwhitewater.org .
Swag for Teacher Welcome Bags
Each school year we give incoming teachers at the Whitewater Unified School District a backpack, drawstring bag, or basket of promotional items from local businesses and information about the community. If you'd like to be included in this promotion, please bring 25 swag items by August 1st.

We'd also like to extend a thank you to all the member businesses who have participated so far!
Dunk the Director
Just a little reminder that Jenny Quill, the new director for Discover Whitewater, is getting dunked this Wednesday at the Summer on the Mall event, along with Whitewater Police Chief Aaron Raap, UW-Whitewater's interim athletic director Ryan Callahan, and other community figures. The event is from 11am-1pm on July 17, and features live music, games, and food. All proceeds from the dunk tank benefit Bethel House, so make sure to stop by and make a splash!
Hawk Fest 2019
Welcome new students to UW-Whitewater by joining us at Hawk Fest, part of the fall orientation program. Hawk Fest is a great opportunity to make your business known among the students. The Chamber will be staffing a table at the event, and we're looking for businesses to join us. Stop by to hand out samples, or pass along your promos, coupons and information to us to hand out. Contact the Chamber directly to join us at our table. Or, read about being an exhibitor here: hawkfest 1.pdf , hawkfest 2.pdf.
Professional Networking Opportunity
"Networking is not about just connecting people. It's about connecting people with people, people with ideas, and people with opportunities." -- Michele Jennae

Networking is an invaluable tool for growing your business. And the upcoming Walworthy County Multi-Chamber after-hours networking event is a prime opportunity to get out there and build your network. Plus, there will be food, drinks and live music--it's a win-win.

Join us on July 25, 5-8 pm at Geneva Supply with live music from Adriane Rose Music.

Please RSVP to the Delavan-Delavan Lake Area Chamber of Commerce at (262) 728-5095 or info@delavanwi.org.
Maxwell Street Days & Chamber Brat Sale
The annual Chamber Brat Sale fundraiser and Maxwell Street Days festival is coming up on August 9 and 10!

On Friday, we will be out in front of the Chamber office grilling up brats and hot dogs. Stop by, grab lunch and say hello. Can't make it downtown? Pre-order and we'll deliver! Pre-order brats using this form: bratbucksalepre-order.doc

Maxwell Street Days events kick off on Saturday morning with sidewalk sales, live music, and kids activities. We have several new additions this year, including:

  • Mascot Race: Watch as Culver's Scoopie, UW-Whitewater's Willie Warhawk, Monty the Ice Age Trail Mammoth, the FCCU Bee, and Premiere Bank's Ca$h take part in a 50-meter dash down Main Street! Cheer on your favorite mascot, and then stay for the sales!
  • The Kona Ice shave ice truck will be serving up cool treats starting at 11 a.m. The first 50 are free, so get here early!

Sidewalk sales: Having a sale? Simply sign up, fill out the sponsor form, and we'll do the rest. We'll be advertising the sales in local newspapers and on Facebook. Starting at only $50 to participate! Looking to promote your business at the event? We have a few sponsorship opportunities available--see the sponsorship letter below for details.
