Voting rights in Arizona have been under attack by our state legislature. In response, an effort is currently underway to protect fair elections and our right to vote through a citizens’ initiative. This initiative aims to place the Arizona Fair Elections Act on the November ballot. The Arizona Fair Elections Act will remove barriers to voting for all Arizona citizens, make the vote-by-mail list permanent again, reduce the influence of money on our elections, and bar legislators from overriding election results.
Our speaker, Betsy Boggia, is the southern Arizona regional director for Arizonans for Fair Elections. She will discuss this citizens’ initiative, answer your questions, and explain how to help gather signatures.
