Southern Industrial Contractors is proud to be a part of the construction team for this plant upgrade, which is for one of the leading steel producers in North America. Southern's scope of work includes sitework, installing H-piles and installing heavy concrete foundations. Some of these concrete foundations are over 6 foot thick and include single monolithic pours in excess of 1,100 cubic yards per foundation.

Southern Industrial Contractors was chosen to be a part of the construction team for a new large scale air separation unit. This state of the art plant will produce life saving gases for hospitals and essential raw materials for manufacturers across the Midwestern United States. Southern's scope of work included sitework, fire water loop, underground electrical pull boxes, underground electrical conduit, HDPE piping, site lighting, and all concrete foundations.
Southern Industrial Contractors was recently awarded one of the early construction packages for a new $1.9 Billion flat roll steel mill located in the Southwestern United States. Southern's scope of work included the installation of approximately 85,000 square feet of new concrete floor slabs & foundations, and erection of approximately 85,000 square feet of warehouse/crane building along with construction of the interior offices. This work was completed in four months. The new flat roll steel mill is expected to be operational by mid 2021.
This project was a new finish mill for a cement supplier located in the Southwestern United States. Southern Industrial Contractor's scope of work for this project included the installation of drill piers which embedded into rock, sitework, installation of all concrete foundations, and installation of secondary framing as well as all wall sheeting for the structural steel.
