Announcing CREST: New Career Development Program for Clinical Research Staff

The Clinical Research Staff Research and Exploration to Facilitate STEMM Training (CREST) career development program will support clinical research staff who plan to pursue additional training in STEMM professions.

CREST Scholars will have 20% protected time (equivalent to one day a week) to participate in professional development, career exploration, and mentored research. The day that is devoted to CREST activities will be fully supported and there will be no impact to your salary for participation in this program. Learn more and apply by June 17, 2024 at 8am.

The HDFCCC Office of DEIA Gender Equity Committee is offering travel grants for women and gender minorities within the Cancer Center to attend LEAD, a conference designed for women in oncology and hematology, held on Sept 27-28 in La Jolla, CA. Apply by May 31.

May is Asian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month


The HDFCCC Office of Community Engagement team, in collaboration with the Regional Pacific Islander Taskforce, participated in two May Day Pacific Islander community events: Pasifika Health & Unity Day in San Francisco and Northern California May Day in Hayward. Both events included community resources and services to reach underserved Pacific Islander communities with health and cancer education.
