SUGGESTED TEXAS MEDIATION CANCELLATION POLICY
Parties need flexibility to cancel an ADR event, attorneys need reasonably priced ADR professionals, and ADR professionals need to survive. When you cancel less than 14 days in advance without paying, you are taking the full cost of that mediation out of the ADR Pro's pocket.
This is our policy below for $400/party mediations weekdays at 9 am, 1 pm & 6 pm. We proposed "ADR Events cancelled > 14 days in advance are fully refunded. ADR Events cancelled between 3-14 days in advanced are rescheduled within 45 days, but never refunded. ADR Events cancelled < 3 days in advanced are neither refunded nor rescheduled. Payment is due the day of scheduling." Thoughts?
