Special Deliveries
Our Education Specialists have been traveling the state, delivering Kindergarten Readiness Kits to school registration events in Wendell, Oakley, Shoshone, Filer, Hagerman, Craigmont, Weippe, Orofino, Lewiston, Donnelly, Horseshoe Bend, Kuna, Nampa, and Calder, which has one kindergartener and is one of the smallest schools in the state!

Deserts: May Science Trek

Winners Announced
A 17-year-old from Eagle, Idaho, has won a statewide award for his 90-second video about the benefits of living a substance-free lifestyle. Kobe Humphries, a junior at Eagle High School, is the grand prize winner of Idaho Public Television’s Welcome to the Unaltered State teen video contest for his portrayal of the downside of youth substance use and the upside of engaging in activities that are real and lasting. $1,200 Stipend for Social Studies Teachers
KQED’s Education team is seeking U.S. government and history teachers to pilot a six-week, project-based curriculum unit titled “Podcasting Democracy: Understanding the Constitution to Inspire Civic Change.” Learn more and apply here by May 11.
