Discover the exquisite, unique jewelry designs by Featured Artist, Carol Farkas. Carol has been designing one of a kind jewelry for over thirty years. She draws inspiration from sea shells, crystal beads and antique pieces, often repurposing them into fresh, creative looks.
Check out her wearable art - original design scarves! She also does custom design scarves to match and accent any piece of clothing.
Come in and meet Carol and see her art on May 9th from 10-5pm.

Established in 1990 by a small group of local artists on Anna Maria Island, the Island Gallery has evolved into a successful artist's cooperative of over 20 members.
The Gallery is staffed each day by one of our knowledgeable member artists.
We offer a rich variety of our fine works of art including paintings, artistic photography, drawings, mixed media, ceramic arts, jewelry, paper mache and much more.
Here we will continue to serve the interests of our local community by offering frequent classes and free demonstrations, while providing an enjoyable and cultural
atmosphere for visitors to the downtown area.

Welcome our new Guest Artist,
Reen Troy
| | |
Reen Troy's early career in MI, was as an art director for various bio tech and consumer magazine accounts, plus starting her own graphic and web design company. In 2010, she moved to CA and was active in a thriving art community, entering numerous juried shows.
Another move had Reen relocating to FL to be closer to family, the beach weather and the vibrant art community where she has been entering juried shows and winning awards.
Artist Statement
"Today, as an abstract painter based in FL, my love of blue skies, deep orange-pink sunsets, turquoise oceans, swimming and beach days with family, can all be found in my colorful, energetic and joyous art."

The Island Gallery and Studios Artists have been invited to Exhibit at the Art Advocates Gallery in the Siesta Key Mall, June 1 to August 21, 2025.
Our award-winning Photo-Journalist David Tejada will be speaking to the Arts Advocates Organization on May 27, 4-6pm.
His presentation is titled "The Art of Seeing and Developing a Creative Eye."

Classes start off with amazing discussions on how a beginning artist can become better with many routes discussed. So, think about joining us. Come SIT & SIP and join the fun at Island Gallery & Studios for these free interactive discussion sessions with analysis on what makes a good piece of art.
If you are having trouble deciding whether or not your painting is finished, come join us as we introduce you to Critique Corner. We invite you to come and listen or bring your paintings and we'll help you work through the issues. It's a wonderful learning experience and interesting conversation full of sharing, insight and inspiration. Each session will address different issues, so come to one session or all for something a little different each time. Take advantage of this opportunity to add to your ART bucket. See you there!
