May Emerald Birthstone Necklace Transformation
|
This client's beautiful diamond & emerald necklace was in need of cleaning, polishing and a transformation for greater versatility. She regretted seldom wearing this piece, due to its formal feel. Diamonds On The Key disconnected the emerald pendant drop, which was hinged permanently to the diamond necklace, and added a diamond bail, which now allows for the pendant to be clipped "on & off" the classic diamond Riviera necklace, so it can be worn and enjoyed on its own with a casual white blouse or tank top. For more dressy occasions, the emerald drop can be added back on! The emerald was additionally unset from its mounting, oiled and polished to bring it back to life, while its original setting and the necklace underwent steam cleaning, polishing and a new white rhodium finish, to make it once again dazzling!

Emerald Ring Makeover for a Sweet 16
|
To commemorate an upcoming "Sweet 16 Birthday" this mother & grandmother teamed up with Diamonds On The Key, to transform a beloved heirloom gold & emerald ring, which was "brought over from the old country" into a modern jewelry gift that the grand daughter could wear daily. A pendant design was thought to be the best option with the delicate small emeralds carefully unset and the old gold of the ring recycled and combined with additional new gold for strength. A sketch and wax mold were hand created, with small diamonds added to the design for extra sparkle, along with a strong cable chain for daily wear. The young lady was thrilled with her beautiful new piece of jewelry that still contained the "heirloom elements" of her grandmother's ring.

Custom Made Antique Style Anniversary Gift Ring
|
With a big 25th wedding anniversary approaching, this client wished to commemorate the extra special occasion with an antique style diamond ring that she had always dreamed of. While meeting with designer, Christina Termine, to discuss all aspects of the ring, along with reviewing criteria for the central main diamond, the client selected a 1.50 carat round brilliant, GIA certified diamond, which was graded "Excellent" in all 3 cut categories of Cut, Symmetry and Polish -- the highest grade a diamond can achieve! Precise details of the ring design, such as braided and hand applied milgrain edging, plus a double halo of small diamonds set around the center diamond, all factored into the design of the ring. A 3 dimensional computerized CADD design was created for the client's approval and the design then progressed to the casting, setting and polishing stages. The end result was the ring of her dreams!
