Notes from the Commander's Desk!
GREETINGS FELLOW VETERANS, FRIENDS AND THOSE WHO DEFEND THIS GREAT NATION.
 
IT’S ONCE AGAIN TIME FOR YOUR AMERICAN LEGION, POST 471 REVIEW AND UPDATE OF CURRENT AND UPCOMING EVENTS.

You are invited to join with members from the Boyertown American Legion and many other area programs to say Thank you to all who have served in our Military!

The Boyertown’s annual Memorial Day parade will begin at the Boyertown High School Monroe Street entrance at 9:00am on Memorial Day.

LASTLY, WE WILL HOST OUR FIRST SCOTCH DOUBLES POOL TOURNAMENT MAY 21 AT NOON FOR $10

American "Legion Members" meetings
are held on the "First Thursday" of each month at 7 pm in our main hall.

Next Legion Members Meeting date is:
May's 5th
Memorial Day Parade
You are invited to join with members from the Boyertown American Legion and many other area programs to say Thank you to all who have served in our Military!
The Boyertown’s annual Memorial Day parade will begin at the Boyertown High School Monroe Street entrance at 9:00am on Memorial Day.
All people or vehicles entered in the parade must be decorated or themed in a way to honor the USA and Veterans and should be at High School by 8:30 to lineup. Custom Cars, Trucks, Floats, Military vehicles and Veteran Motorcycle clubs are welcome.
All people will be held to a proper code of ethics and safety. No throwing anything like candy from vehicles.
No burnouts or reckless driving will be allowed.
The parade will travel west on Philadelphia Avenue to the Fairview Cemetery for The Memorial Day Service event to Honor those who have Served Our Country.

Our Kitchen is now open on Friday and Saturday nights after 5:30pm!

SCOTCH DOUBLES POOL TOURNAMENT MAY 21@ 12 Noon
WE WILL HOST OUR FIRST SCOTCH DOUBLES POOL TOURNAMENT IN MAY 21 AT NOON.

PLEASE SIGN UP IS $10 AND MUST BE MADE BY MAY 20, SHEETS ARE AT THE LEGION
We now have SHUFFLEBOARD!
It is here, !! 21 feet long, 800 lbs and moved out of a basement of a house through a window in pieces!

It only took 10 Firefighters and a Rollback tow truck to move this Amazing Shuffleboard table from 1950 era and Made In America!

Now we will refinish it and have all the adjustments reset !

Yard Games Tournament June 11
JUNE 11th THE LEGION WILL HOST OUR 2nd ANNUAL OUTDOOR TOURNAMENT FOR HORSESHOES, QUOITS AND CORNHOLE.

THOSE INTERESTED CAN SIGN UP AT THE LEGION IN THE DAYS TO COME.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PLAYERS CAN ENTER ONE OR ALL THREE EVENTS.
Veteran's Memorial keeps growing and Boy Scouts will be helping make event bigger and better!

We have already placed many Bricks at the base of the FlagPole and are now taking orders forms for next Brick order!
You can now print out the BUY A BRICK ORDER FORM by clicking on the link in this block or pick up a order sheet at the Legion.

Cost is
$40 for 4x8 inch size brick

$75 for the larger 8x8 inch

"This is a great way to honor a Veteran who has passed away."

The Legion fly the casket flag of a Veteran who has passed away for 30 days over the Legion as a way to honor that Veteran.

Car Show on 9/11/2022
Yes ! The Car Show will be back on Sunday 9/11

Save the Date!!
As we planning our "United We Stand" Car show in Boyertown Pa.
Gate opens at 9am, $15 or more donation to enter
Car show Event is from 10am to 2pm
Awards will be presented at 1:45pm
50/50 raffle, Events and Auctions going on during the day
DJ will be bringing the music!
Freedom Train Event
on Nov 13 at 11 am
Attention Veterans! Looks like we are doing it again this year with our friends from the Colebrookedale Railroad! Stay tuned for more information on tickets!
