Holocaust & Jewish Resistance Class Shabbat
Friday, May 3rd
Our 6th Grade students, along with their families and Temple members who audited the Holocaust and Jewish Resistance class came together one last time in celebration of Shabbat. A tree was planted outside of Temple Sinai in memory of the victims of the recent synagogue shootings and a dedication was held between dinner and Shabbat services. The students in this class conducted a moving and meaningful Yom HaShoah service honoring the Holocaust victims, survivors, rescuers and liberators. We are grateful to Abbie and Richard Laskey, who have been honored for their work teaching about the Holocaust, for the gifts of their time, skills, and passion in designing and teaching this course.
