A luncheon to honor all of Frisco Family Services’ priceless volunteers was enjoyed by all on April 12th at Blue Mesa Grill. Volunteers and staff shared a delicious lunch together, followed by an award ceremony that gave special recognition to several volunteers, and a raffle that perfectly ended the heartwarming and exciting event!

Congratulations   to Dr. Stephen K. Hadzima for being recognized as our Board Member of the year!
He has truly gone above and beyond in his volunteer support, and we cannot thank him enough for all that he does for this community!

A special thank you to all of our local sponsors: Aw Shucks, Celebrity Bakery, Frisco Resale

"The passion grows inside of us and develops into what we want to be."
Thank you to  Janelle Hall, Founder of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, for being the guest speaker. Janelle shared with us the importance of volunteerism in our community, and why she believes the most successful organizations work together!

Board of Directors Spotlight - Tom Reitinger
We would like to take a moment to recognize a member of our very valuable Board of Directors, Tom Reitinger – currently serving his first year on Frisco Family Services’ Board of Directors. Retiring after a long and successful career as a Healthcare Executive did not stop Tom’s involvement in his community from growing.

No stranger to hard work, he and his two brothers grew up helping his parents operate the family dry-cleaning business in Freeport, Illinois. If we couldn’t already tell from his favorite quote: “Never complain when you’re too busy, only when you’re not busy enough,” - Tom’s resume is not only remarkable because of his many career achievements, but also demonstrates his long history of giving back. Lucky for us, he now calls Frisco his home and his commitment to helping serve others is a great benefit to our community. He was impressed by the goal of Frisco Family Services to help people become self-sufficient, and we are grateful for his passion for such an important part of our mission. “I’d like to assist Frisco Family Services in meeting its goals and the development of its strategy going forward,” is what Tom most would like to accomplish while serving on the Board.

Spending time with his wife, two sons, four grandchildren, and his great-grandson brings Tom joy. In addition, he also enjoys golfing, working out at the gym, playing billiards and traveling. If he had more hours in the day, he would travel more and explore the USA! As a young man, he received this memorable advice from someone he admired: “Work hard and be reliable, and everything else will fall in place,” and if he were to write a book the title would be : Live Within Your Means and Avoid Debt.

We treasure each and every Board member and are so grateful for their time and talents dedicated to ensuring the success of our clients and building a caring community.
