The James Kling Fellowship Award

The AIA-MBA Joint Committee unanimously voted to bestow the 2018 James Kling Fellowship Award to Mr. Jack Mascaro in recognition of the high standards that he has maintained for the industry, while fostering a community spirit amongst the design and construction professions.

The James Kling Fellowship Award was established by the AIA-MBA Joint Committee to recognize those individuals who best exemplify collaboration between the design and constructor professions. These individuals, through their action and example, provide both members of the AIA and the MBA standards of excellence to strive for in an effort to bridge the gap between the two sides.

This prestigious honor will be presented at The Construction Industry Evening of Excellence, MBA’s largest event, as part of the MBA Building Excellence Awards. The event is being held on Thursday, February 28, 2019, from 5–9 p.m., at the Heinz Field East Club. The awards ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. Registration information can be found below, under Events. We hope that you will join us for the celebration.

MBA Seeks Executive Director

After nearly three decades of leadership and service to MBA and the construction industry, Executive Director Jack Ramage has begun preparations for his retirement at the end of 2019. Consequently, he and the Board of Directors have begun a formal search process supported by the Board’s appointed Search Committee. This search is an integral part of the overall transition process and will be conducted over the coming weeks and months. More Information
