MBA Board of Directors Welcomes Alexander G. Dick
The Board of Directors of the Master Builders’ Association (MBA) announced the appointment of Alex Dick to its Board of Directors. Mr. Dick was unanimously approved by the MBA membership at the General Contractors Annual Meeting on Friday, January 17, 2020, at the Duquesne Club.

Mr. Dick is Chief Operating Officer of Dick Build Company, headquartered in Jefferson Hills. He has over 16 years of industry experience, working in project management, operations, and corporate development. As COO, Alex represents a fourth generation of professionalism and innovation.

Dick Building Company is the continuance of a long tradition of construction managers within the Dick family. Noble J. Dick, Alex Dick’s great-grandfather, founded Dick Corporation in 1922. In 2008, Dick Corporation announced it had completed the initial phase of a restructuring plan, which included a sale of assets and transfer of control to a new global construction management company. This transaction allowed Douglas Dick to form a new company – Dick Building Company.

Todd Dominick, President of the MBA, said, “I think Alex will be a breath of fresh air for our Board and our membership. He represents the next generation of leaders of our industry and I look forward to hearing his ideas and working with him.”

Alex Dick commented, “I’m delighted to continue the family tradition of service to the MBA and the role it plays in the advancement of our industry.”
