How does your business model cater specifically to the needs and desires of the 55+ age group?
At The Farmstead at Medford, we empower adults 62+ with a vibrant, independent lifestyle. Residents enjoy chef-prepared meals with tableside service, housekeeping and maintenance, and all utilities—including cable, internet, and phone—creating a truly worry-free lifestyle. With engaging social programs, wellness initiatives, and a strong sense of community, we foster independence, connection, and peace of mind, ensuring residents can thrive in a place that truly feels like home.
Unique to the The Farmstead, is our ability to provide supportive therapeutic and care services right in the comfort of each resident’s apartment, allowing residents to receive personalized care while maintaining their independence, eliminating the need for disruptive moves as their needs evolve. Our all-inclusive community offers an affordable alternative to assisted living, allowing residents to enjoy an active, maintenance-free way of life while only paying for care when they need it.
How do your company’s core values influence the day-to-day operations of the community?
Our core values shape every aspect of daily life, creating a community where warmth, hospitality, and exceptional service come first. Our mission is to embrace a culture of hospitality, empowering our associates to go above and beyond in serving our residents and doing good for all in our community.
This commitment is more than just words—it’s something you can feel the moment you walk through our doors. The culture we’ve created is evident in every interaction, from the personalized care and attention our team provides to the rich, memorable experiences we craft for our residents. Every day, we strive to make The Farmstead a place where older adults feel valued, supported, and truly at home.
By leading with heart and hospitality, we ensure that residents don’t just live here—they thrive here.
How do you foster a sense of community among residents?
At The Farmstead at Medford, fostering a true sense of community starts with a personalized approach to every resident’s experience. As a Medford-owned and operated community, we see life through our residents’ eyes—not through standardized metrics or corporate red tape. This local ownership allows us to be flexible, responsive, and deeply attuned to the individual needs and desires of those who call The Farmstead home.
We cultivate connection through engaging social programs, shared dining experiences, and vibrant community events. Our monthly Resident Townhall ensures every resident has a voice, giving them the opportunity to share feedback, shape their environment, and be an active part of our evolving community.
Beyond activities, we embrace diversity and celebrate cultural programs that help residents find purpose, fulfillment, and meaningful connections. At The Farmstead, community isn’t just about where you live—it’s about feeling valued, heard, and truly at home.
