AHN Somerset Radiology Oncology Center
Linear Accelerator and CT Scanner

As the Construction Manager, MBM provided preconstruction services, managed subcontractor bidding, procurement and overall construction delivery to replace a Linear Accelerator and CT Scanner at the Somerset Radiation Oncology Center. The 3,100 SF renovation included a linear accelerator room, CT scanner room, control room, waiting areas and an office. Concrete removal for the replacement of the equipment base frames and installation of new in-floor conduits and pipes occurred after hours since the facility was occupied throughout construction. The project was completed on time and within budget.

Jim is a Senior Program Manager for Allegheny Health Network (AHN).  He started with AHN in 2015 as a  Project Manager contracted through Hill International, working in the Construction and Real Estate Services group.  By the end of 2015 he was hired directly by AHN for his current position.  AHN is a relatively new and growing healthcare network that strives to provide patients with quality care at their hospitals and close to home.  Jim enjoys what he does for AHN, specifically the people he works with and that the projects he works on help people in the community.

What do you like most about working with MBM?
The dedication from everyone you encounter- they are a family run company and I feel this is reflected in how they do business.  I have always had a positive experience working with MBM even when the projects might not go as one would like.  They always stick to being a team player.  MBM has been adaptive to situations, communicated well and diligently works to look ahead to identify issues before they become problems.

What kind of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I basically like anything that deals with sports and the outdoors, especially when it involves my kids.  I enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, baseball, volleyball, basketball, camping, golf, shooting and scuba diving.
