The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, released Supporting Canadians and Fighting COVID-19: Fall Economic Statement 2020. This plan will continue to protect Canadians’ health, jobs and the economy.
Government of Canada announces extension of travel restrictions
The Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, and the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Health, announced that Canada will extend the Mandatory Isolation Order and temporary travel restrictions for all travelers seeking entry into Canada from a country other than the US, until January 21, 2021.

Ontario Welcomes New Canada-United Kingdom Trade Continuity Agreement
The UK has been an essential trading partner for Ontario for generations, accounting for $19.6 billion CDN in two-way trade in 2019 alone and making the UK Ontario’s second biggest export market. We encourage the timely ratification of the new agreement to ensure that essential trade relationships are not disrupted, and businesses are not impacted.

What's Happening in Mississauga?
COVID-19 Lockdown – Temporary Lay – Offs for Part-Time employees in non-essential services
Peel Region’s Grey-Lockdown level status has resulted in the closure of City community centres, including pools, fitness centres and arenas and cultural facilities such as the Small Arms Building and Museums of Mississauga, Living Arts Centre and Meadowvale Theatre. All indoor team sport activities, indoor in–person recreation programs including pools, arenas, fitness and culture programs are cancelled.

With these closures, the City of Mississauga has again made the difficult decision to temporarily lay-off approximately 1,100 part-time employees who work at these facilities effective December 7, 2020.
COVID-19 Lockdown: Mississauga Offers Tools and Supports for Local Small Businesses
Guidance for businesses can be found on the City’s website and includes assets such as relevant news and updates for the business community as well as free webinars to help businesses respond to the impacts of COVID-19.
RIC Centre is announcing their first Digital Main Street Community Collaboration Project, delivering augmented reality walking tours for the Streetsville Business Improvement Area (BIA) in Mississauga in time for the holiday season.
