CREATES THE ALTON BEACH BAYFRONT OVERLAY LAND USE CATEGORY, PROVIDING FLOOR AREA RATIO BONUSES FOR DEVELOPMENTS THAT INCLUDE CERTAIN PUBLIC BENEFITS (PRIMARILY INTENDED TO FACILITATE DEVELOPMENT OF 1250 WEST AVE)
This is a proposal to increase height and FAR for a project at 1250 West Avenue, in exchange for the developer offering community benefits. Miami Beach United has a concern about this process. Since this is a site specific up-zoning proposal, the community benefits should be specified, and the two items (benefits and up-zoning) should be voted on in the same meeting Also, C7AZ should not be a consent agenda item because it is too important to the residents and requires an open discussion at a Commission meeting.
