MC Congratulates Mike Vecchione '11

Mike Vecchione of Saugus is no stranger to achievement. He earned a multitude of accolades during his time playing hockey as a Lancer, including being a three-time Catholic Conference All-Star, a 2010 & 2011 Boston Globe All-Scholastic and a 2011 Catholic Conference Co-MVP. He was part of the championship team that led our varsity hockey team to their first of five Super 8 Championship titles to be had over six years. Mike went on to receive the 2011 Hockey Barn Player of the Year, 2011 ESPN Boston Mr. Hockey, and take part in the 2011 Herald Dream Team.
Since graduating from MC, Mike has captained Union College's hockey team for the past two years and was recently named ECAC Player of the Year 2017. He is currently one of three finalists for a Hobey Baker Award and was just signed to the Philadelphia Flyers on March 31st, playing his first NHL game (against the New Jersey Devils) this past Tuesday, April 4th.
