Hello Mustang Families!

This November, the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is hosting a food drive from November 6^th-21^st to feed people in need. During this time, we will be accepting non-perishable food items. Please consider donating!

If you are in need of food this thanksgiving, please cut and fill out the following form and have your child give it to their homeroom teacher. Only one form is needed per family.

DISTRICT FOOD SERVICE

In early October, the Food and Nutrition Service Department (FNS) was notified by our dairy provider of a nationwide milk carton shortage. Whereas in the past we would serve 3-4 varieties of milk, we are currently down to 2 varieties (1% white and Skim Chocolate).

Projections have the dairy running out of chocolate containers by the first week of November. All efforts are being made to continue to have 1% white milk available until all other varieties come back in stock around the first of the year.

FNS will continue to work with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service to provide approved alternative beverage choices, most likely juice and water, for meals going forward.

Join us on Tuesday, November 7th at 4:00 PM for a PTA meeting! Learn about what’s coming up, use your voice to share what matters to you, and be part of a group of volunteers who work to make MCA the best place for our students, staff, and community! Childcare provided!  

The first Middle School Social will take place on Friday, November 17th from 3-5:00 PM.  Registration is now closed. You will be contacted if your student is unable to go due to occupancy restrictions. If you are not contacted, your student is welcome to come on Friday!  Thank you to Sweet Treats by Char for providing treats for all students!  Want to ensure your child will attend the social? Volunteer!!  Sign up here to help us make this a great event for our Middle School students!

The MCA School Nurses need your help!

They are facing the huge task of doing Health Screens and will need volunteers to help this year. We are asking for eight people to help on November 14, 16, and 17th. Every volunteer will receive training from District Health Services before you start - no medical background necessary! Click here to sign up to volunteer today!
