Volunteer Spotlight
Bobbie Persichetti

Q. Give us a brief description of yourself.

I retired, downsized and moved to a condo in Moon Twp 11 years ago.

Q. How long have you been a volunteer at MCA-TV?

I have been a volunteer for MCA-TV for 1 year.

Q. What inspired you to take our production class?

I was reading the Moon Twp Newsletter. The Newsletter has a lot of information about local opportunities and activities. My 2019 resolution included taking a class and finding a local volunteer position. MCA-TV had an ad in the Newsletter that offered a solution for both areas of my 2019 resolution. The MCA-TV class was free and the volunteer position was unique.  MCA-TV allows me to pursue the next part of my journey in Moon Twp.

Q. What do you enjoy most about volunteering at MCA-TV?

I really enjoy meeting a wide variety of interesting and helpful local residents of all ages and experiences. We enjoy working together producing, filming and working together in a relaxed environment. I also enjoy having an outlet for my creative skill set.

Q. Tell us about your show,  Moon Landings .

"Moon Landings" is a program about local residents that have lived in other countries and states. Their stories are personal biographies about their life experiences before "landing" in the Moon Twp area. They also discuss their current lives and experiences. Our guests have been from Italy, Mexico, Minnesota, Columbia and Moon Twp. If you have a story that you will share with MCA-TV, please email me @

Q. Where did you get the idea to produce Moon Landings?

Since I moved to Moon Twp, I was meeting a lot of interesting people. I was meeting people with international life history stories. After completing the MCA-TV class, I observed other Producers at the station.  It occurred to me that I could create a program about some of the travelers for an interview at MCA-TV. I presented the idea to Allison Ford ( MCA-Director), and she approved the program. My neighbor is Robert Mangino from KDKA Radio. Robert agreed to host the show. We developed the program's title, "Moon Landings".

Q. Do you have any other shows you'd like to create in the future

In 2020, one of the programs that I hope to create will be  a program regarding the local charities that help many of our residents.

Upcoming Updates
This winter, we are going to update the control room! While the updating process is underway, the studio will be closed. This will start on February 1, 2020 and we will reopen as soon as the work is complete.

What this means for our volunteers is that there will not be any filming done in the studio during that time period. As soon as it is done, we will let you know so we can start back up.

Once we are up and running, we will also host an open house for volunteers to come in and get familiar with the new setup. Stay tuned for more information in the upcoming month!
Produce Your Own Show Today!
Do you have an idea for a new show?  MCA-TV is looking for new content!

Producing a show is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. Pitch your show idea to Allison Eastham
2. Schedule a production date
3. Watch your show on MCA-TV

The rules are pretty simple, any Moon resident can produce a show or non-residents can work with a community producer to sign off on their production and help gather volunteers!

What is a community producer, you ask?
A community producer is a Moon Township resident that has gone through our production course.

If you are not a community producer, we can help pair you up with one!  We currently have about 15 active community producers ready to help you get your show on the road!  The process is easy! Just contact Allison Eastham at aeastham@moontwp.us with information about your idea and you are on your way!
