MCAAP Call for Nominations

The MCAAP 2023 election will fill vacancies on the executive board for Secretary/Communications Liaison and Representatives in region 1 (Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes Norfolk and Plymouth Counties) as well as a two member-at-large positions (any county). Also, Medical Student and Pediatric Trainee positions are open. 

Individuals are eligible if they are voting members of the Chapter and live or work in one of the vacant regions. Click here for a listing of Massachusetts counties. Please email names of nominees to Cathleen Haggerty at chaggerty@mcaap.org. You may also mail nominations to 860 Winter Street, Waltham, MA 02451.

Nominations must be received by February 15, 2023. Electronic ballots will be emailed and mailed in mid-March.

There are many opportunities for involvement on the Chapter and National levels to advocate for kids, families, trainees and pediatricians among others. Please consider applying for one of the positions listed below. These are great opportunities to get involved and for some, to build a strong resumes/CVs. We'd be happy to help with the process and/or customize volunteer opportunities that work for you. AAP Advocacy Conference - March 26-28, 2023

AAP Advocacy Conference Registration Now Open – Early Bird Discount Ends February 15, 2023

Registration is open for the 2023 AAP Advocacy Conference taking place March 26-28, 2023, in Washington, DC. Participants will hear from distinguished guest speakers, attend advocacy skills-building workshops, and learn about timely policy issues impacting children, families, and pediatricians. On the final day, participants will attend meetings with their congressional offices and state leaders to discuss a timely child health issue. The early bird discount ends February 15, 2023. 

Scholarships are available for pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, and pediatric trainees – apply by 11:59 pm CT on January 18, 2023. Please contact advocacyconference@aap.org with any questions.
