MCAP Happenings
An annual newsletter and request for support for Montgomery County's only nonprofit organization providing free legal services for
child victims of abuse and neglect.
Notes from Mary
When seven-year-old Evan* went to school with his second black-eye in two months, school officials alerted ChildLine and an investigation began. Police discovered that Evan had previous fractures to his nose and ribs. The Court appointed an MCAP attorney to protect Evan from harm and ensure his safety. (cont'd.)

Having just concluded National Child Abuse Prevention Month last week, I think of kids like Evan.
Sarah Klein: A Story of Hope
Sarah Klein is one of 300+ women and girls who were sexually abused by Olympic Women's Gymnastics Team doctor Larry Nassar. In 2018 Sarah and her "sister survivors" bravely told their stories in court and put him in jail for life. Hear how Sarah believes MCAP helps child victims in her passionate speech from Wear Blue On The Steps , a new MCAP event commemorating National Child Abuse Prevention Month, held on April 5th on the steps of the Montgomery County Courthouse.
