We aid current and future small business owners with the right tools and resources to not only achieve their goals, but exceed them.

We offer financial resources to help individuals thrive in school and on the job. We are on the receiving end when the local industry needs specialized training or a qualified employee. In addition to injecting the workforce with talented workers, we offer opportunities for personal growth through our unique programming that allows people to just have fun! Much like a financial advisor, we are with you every step of the way.
Every Ending Has A New Beginning
In this month’s edition, we are celebrating Ms. Savannah Heath, our Small Business Center Director. Starting this month, she will embark on a new journey as the Director of Economic Development for Montgomery County. The silver lining is that Montgomery Community College has a new partner in the county. Based on her record of accomplishment at Montgomery Community College the positive trajectory of Montgomery County is only going to accelerate.

Savannah is a very modest person, so being the highlight of this month’s newsletter left her feeling very uncomfortable. However, it is important that we take a moment to highlight just a few of her accomplishments during her 5-year tenure at Montgomery Community College.

  • Founded the first-ever Gunsmith Business Summit hosted by an SBC. Average attendance exceeding 200 attendees every year
  • Founded the Workforce Development Center newsletter to raise awareness about SBC opportunities and college-wide opportunities
  • Developed a county-wide Smart Restart Business Guide to help businesses reopen doors safely during the pandemic
  • Founded Montgomery County's first Online Farm School
  • Helped in the establishment of 21 new businesses

Lastly, in the midst of the pandemic, she had a monumental community and economic impact within the small business community. Below is a nice snapshot of the year she had:
Savannah has solidified a solid foundation for the next Small Business Center Director to thrive and we thank her for that. Please join me in a final farewell and words of encouragement for her next chapter in Montgomery County.
