So my soul sings!

This soul, which was denied to me for so long: Does it have a soul? What's inside these people? Let's look inside!

People like me were thrown to the outskirts of civilization. But my soul sings! Sing because Du Bois was saying that “they could take everything from us, except our talents And the music that shook our SOUL! ¹

My soul sings! Because it is now possible to see the Lord Jesus approaching from afar. On the dirt floor, riding a donkey, wearing simple clothes... he was there, close to me, close to us...

GOD IS CLOSE TO US, HIS LOVE RAINS, HIS LOVE REIGNS, GOD IS CLOSE TO US!²

And that's why my soul sings! Because I saw in the savior, the simplicity of someone like me, but who was involved in the glory of being the lord of lords, the king of kings, hosanna!

HOSANNA, HOSANNA, HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST!³

Like a God, like a Goddess! Hosanna!

My soul just sang, I wanted to celebrate the entry of my Jesus! Even though I know that very soon...

But my soul sings! Because later on, he entered the temple and expelled the merchants of faith - and I know several - he gave me back the opportunity to be closer to him. Because a gospel that is sold and exclusive to people like me needs to be overturned and thrown away.

He passed through the crowd that welcomed him with shouts, dances, swinging branches and a chorus that said: TOO BLACK FIGHT, TO BE EQUAL.⁴.

Because they saw in Jesus the bastion of love, justice, transformation and miracles! It was him, it was Jesus! FAMOUS! LET ME SING UNTIL THE END!⁵

MY SOUL SINGS, BECAUSE EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS! THEN MY SOUL SINGS TO YOU LORD, YOU ARE GREAT. GREAT ARE YOU.⁶
