Accepts Interim Moderator Resignation
The Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) Governing Board requested and received the resignation of the UFMCC Interim Moderator, the Reverend Elder Rachelle D. Brown, effective 31 May 2019. Rev. Brown was appointed in October 2016 to serve as Interim Moderator until the 2019 General Conference. The Governing Board appreciates Rev. Brown's service.
This news will generate a range of emotions in the MCC community. To maintain the integrity of this shift in leadership, and out of respect for all who are impacted, we encourage each of you to join us to pray for Rev. Brown, her family, MCC, the MCC Staff and Leadership Teams, and General Conference.
Beginning 1 June 2019, responsibilities previously held by the Interim Moderator will be assigned to staff and members of the Governing Board.
