Michelle Caruso-Cabrera Kicks Off Comptroller Campaign, Calling Out de Blasio & Political Class
MCC vows to lead a more inclusive recovery
that will reach all New Yorkers as Comptroller

Speaking to the Five Borough Chamber Alliance Comptroller Candidate Forum on Tuesday evening, Caruso-Cabrera pointed to her unique background and experience in preparing her to wield the power of the audit as NYC’s top financial officer.

"I am not a career politician,” Caruso-Cabrera said, drawing stark contrast to four of her opponents. “I spent my career following the money, investigating how it is being spent, and bring to the table a far more objective perspective than those who have been in the political game for far too long, and who have been missing the mark.”

On Wednesday, Caruso-Cabrera pointed to inequality and injustice in the city that has only grown more pronounced under the De Blasio administration during a Candidate Forum hosted by the Tioga Carver Democratic Club.
“The budget under Bill De Blasio has grown by nearly $20 billion,” said Caruso-Cabrera. “New Yorkers need to ask themselves the question: 'Does the city feel 20 billion dollars better to you?',” Caruso-Cabrera continued.

Caruso-Cabrera has been consistent in underscoring her commitment to a recovery that leaves no one behind, vowing: "I will ensure that every dollar is spent on a New York City comeback that is equitable and inclusive!”
