Security Guidelines for MCC Congregations

Security Recommendations Document is Now Available on Resource Bank

The history of MCC includes times when individuals sought to do harm to individual members and/or the facilities that house our ministries. Recently a few of our congregations have experienced disruption of worship or individuals trying to intimidate those participating in ministries offered by MCC. Several leaders of congregations have expressed anxiety because of the increased level of threat caused by the current political context we find ourselves in. 

One of the ways we can do justice is by striving to provide safekeeping for individuals who are part of our congregations and/or served by our ministries. A group of members of MCC who have security and/or law enforcement experience have come together to develop Security Guidelines for MCC congregations to consider. They have also agreed to make themselves available to congregations for support with clarification and guidance in implementation of the guidelines. Their names and contact information are listed on the document.
