Outsiders : Called Out

Peter reminds us that as followers of Jesus, we are called to live as “outsiders,” knowing our true home and allegiance are with God. We are chosen by God, changed by the Holy Spirit, and covered by the blood of Jesus. When we remember who we are and whose we are, we live with purpose and reflect Christ to the world around us.

Student Ministry Update

Parents of junior high and high school students there will be a meeting on September 13, 2026, at 12:00 in the Student Center to update you on some important developments in the search for the next MCC Student Pastor.

Lead Pastor Updates

We’re grateful to share that, after much prayer, conversation, and discernment, we have narrowed our search to two candidates who will continue in the next phase of the process.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll spend time getting to know each candidate (and their spouse) through assessments, deeper conversations, reference checks, and in-person interviews. These next steps will help us continue evaluating their character, leadership, ministry experience, and alignment with MCC as we prayerfully seek God’s direction.

We’re encouraged by how God has guided the process thus far and are grateful for your continued prayers as we enter this important stage of discernment.

Fall Clothing Drive | Sept 13 - Nov 29

MCC is collecting Donations of Gently Used Warm Clothing for Adults and Children. The items collected will go to the Children and Families we serve in Outreach, and a group will also be packaging up Hygiene Bags to deliver and hand out to the local Homeless.

A blue bin is placed in the Atrium for you to donate.

Women's Worship Bonfire - TONIGHT

September 10 - 7pm-9pm Come to the Women’s Worship Bonfire in the beautiful backyard of the Schatz family (Montgomery). Gourmet s’mores, connection with women, time to worship and pray around the bonfire... what more could you want? Bring a lawn chair and come ready to be refreshed!

Registration isn’t required (but helps us to communicate if there’s a last minute change due to weather).

Practicing The Way - Begins NEXT Week

Join us for this 8-session study led by the MCC Elders on what it looks like to cultivate a life of knowing Jesus and living and loving like Him. We’ll watch a video teaching by John Mark Comer and participate in group discussion.

We believe this study is a foundation to life as a disciple of Jesus. It is our desire that everyone at MCC participates in this study at some point in time.

We celebrated Pastor Phil and Carol for their time here. Now let’s look back so we can look forward. This is a special night celebrating MCC as a church. Inspired by the "wise builder" in Matthew 7:24–27, this is the story of a church family built on the Rock—a body of believers constructed on a firm foundation that has faithfully withstood trials, transition, and even a tornado meant to tear down the house of the Lord.
