Less Than One Month to Apply to Reconnect for Students Age 21-24: Students age 21-24 can apply for Reconnect through December 31, 2024 and enroll in classes through summer 2025. MCCA has created a landing page on our website with the latest resources on Reconnect for 21-24 year olds.
MCCA Benchmarking Directory: MCCA has launched a benchmarking directory webpage which features a curated list of tools and platforms aimed at helping colleges track critical metrics like graduation rates, retention, and post-graduation outcomes to improve student success. Benchmarking performance with peer institutions allows colleges to identify strengths, uncover areas for improvement, and inform targeted student success strategies.
Richmond Fed Data: The Richmond Fed recently released a new dataset from their Community College Initiative aimed at providing better measures of the ways community colleges are serving their students and communities. Good news! Michigan has similar data focused on a comprehensive view of student success and reflecting the mission of the community colleges. The CEPI Student Success Rates reports completions, transfers, and still enrolled. The Undergraduate Enrollment Report may report non-credit enrollment (this is optional for colleges), and two dual enrollment dashboards report Dual Enrollment by High School and CCRC Dual Enrollment by postsecondary institution. Save the date for the 2025 Winter Student Success Leadership Institute on February 26-27 via Zoom when we will review these data and set goals for improvement. Contact Erica Orians or Evan Pauken with additional information about Michigan's rich data resources.
MCACS Design Lab: The application for The Michigan Center for Adult College Success MI-LEARN Design Lab is now open. All Michigan Colleges and Universities are invited to apply for the Design Lab cohort. Visit the MCACS website to learn more and register for an informational webinar taking place on December 16.
