Summer 2020
We are all experiencing and coping with the new normal related to living with COVID-19 in our lives and communities. The current health crisis continues to impact the work of the Medina County Community Fund and those service providers we fund annually. What's next for the Medina County Community Fund? With your consideration to make individual, family or legacy gift donations to our fund, we can grow our permanent balance and give more to Medina County nonprofits.
Our fund recently awarded $45,700 to 15 local nonprofit organizations. This year’s round of grants represents the largest amount awarded in a single year by MCCF, bringing our cumulative grantmaking total to more than $600,000. This year’s funding includes a $5,000 grant to Medina Cares to support underserved residents with temporary financial assistance during medical crisis situations.
Our fund recently welcomed Jill Mack Morton, retired teacher ofthe Buckeye Local School District, as a member of our advisory board. Jill is a lifelong resident of Medina County. Her grandfather started Mack Hardware that included a tack shop, hardware supplies, lumber, and burial vaults. After retirement, Jill turned her energies to community organizations that help families and the environment. Please join us in welcoming Jill to the Medina County Community Fund.
MCCF's new site features easy access to our recent grants and news articles, as well as information about our advisory board and financials. It is also mobile friendly and ADA compliant, making it more accessible to everyone in the community. Check it out at
Our fund recently launched a new Facebook page @MedinaCommunityFund. Follow and like our page to stay socially connected with us and learn more about our latest news, upcoming events, and ways to get involved in the Medina community.
