Winter 2020
In welcoming this new year, we’re also reflecting on the previous years that have allowed our fund to grow and support Medina County’s residents in need. In December, we celebrated a significant milestone – our 25th anniversary as a fund dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals living from Hinckley to Brunswick and Westfield to Wadsworth.
Mark your calendar for our annual Spring into Summer event on June 25 at Fox Meadow Country Club. During the evening, we'll celebrate our fund's impact in the community and announce our 2020 grants to some of Medina County's most deserving nonprofit organizations. Secure your seat now by becoming an event sponsor.
Our fund recently welcomed Barbara J. Dzur, economic development & marketing manager for the City of Medina, as a member of our advisory board. Throughout her life, Barbara has been actively involved in the Medina community, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our fund. Please join us in welcoming Barbra to the Medina County Community Fund.
As part of our 2019 grant cycle, the Medina County Community Fund awarded a $5,000 grant to Newbridge Place to support the organization’s housing programs for low-income individuals suffering from mental illness.
In the early 1990s, two Medina County community leaders began talking about how they could give back to the county in which they lived and worked. A quarter of a century later, the Medina County Community Fund has grown to more than $980,000 and has awarded more than $570,000 in grants back into the community.

Through the month of February, MCCF is accepting grant applications for programs that improve residents' quality of life. This year, we will again concentrate a large portion of our funding on a single grant that will make a significant impact in the community. If you have a nonprofit program that addresses a critical need in Medina County, we invite you to apply by March 1.

This technique allows you to avoid paying the usual taxes, satisfy your required minimum distribution, and support the community you love.
