CAC September Agenda Update

As a friendly reminder, we are having out next US 29 CAC meetings the weeks of September 11th and 18th, 2017 (Please find the agenda here ). A new set of topics for our upcoming September meetings have been developed due to requests by CAC members to provide more detailed comments on the project corridor, contributing to the areas of pedestrian safety, ADA, TSP, and bike amenities for current and future bus riders.

To accomplish the request of CAC members, after a brief update on the  Environmental Documentation (please find under the  "Important Documents" header on the project page) that was sent out on August 10, 2017, we will engage in a  Community Improvement Hotspot ActivityIn this activity, we'll look at opportunities for improvements to the built environment along US 29, and give you a chance to describe how you would make your neighborhoods safer and more accessible. We will also consider where perceived issues and concerns along the corridor can be noted. Please review the Existing Transit Conditions Report which contain background information that may be useful in our discussions.

BRT Systems in the United States

CAC members have asked to see videos of BRT systems in the United States. We recommend taking a look at these videos of the following systems: Swift (Snohomish County, WA), Orange Line (Los Angeles, CA), Emerald Express (Eugene, OR), Flatiron Flyer (Denver, CO) and Health Line (Cleveland, OH).

Looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks!
