Virtual Student Federal Service eInternships
Application Deadline: Tue. July 31, 2018

Through the Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS), students can intern with flexible hours from any location. Students will work on projects that advance the work of the government with a wide choice of agencies and projects to apply to including USAID. Applications are accepted on USAJOBS.gov. The internships are unpaid and require ten hours a week from September 2018 through May 2019.
Women Forward in Technology Scholarships
Submission Deadline: Wed. Aug 1, 2018

Undergraduate or graduate female students enrolled full-time studying in a STEM field can apply for the Women Forward in Technology Scholarships. Several $3000 scholarships will be awarded. Apply now.

Menstrual Hygiene Webinar Series Continues

The fifth and final webinar in the series is "Advocating for Menstrual Hygiene". This series, launched by WASH United, Simavi, and World Vision addresses the growing interest in the development sector on menstrual hygiene.

WFEO 2018 Young Engineers Competition

The World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) is hosting a competition for the best ideas and projects from engineers, under age 35, who are progressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through engineering. They are seeking high-quality papers addressing one of seventeen SDGs. The best submissions will be published in a booklet released during the Global Engineering Congress and the winners will be invited to present in UK London with travel accommodations provided. New Development Finance Institution Created
The U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations voted to pass The Better Utilization of Investment Leading to Development (BUILD Act) that will create a new agency combining the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and USAID's Development Credit Authority as well as expand U.S. development finance capabilities.
