Are You Registered to Vote?

Election day is just a few weeks away! In fact, Boulder County ballots are being mailed this week! There may still time to ensure that you are registered to vote either by absentee ballot or at your current address!  Check out this non-partisan website for details on how to get registered or to check your registration status while there's still time (in most states).

WASH Symposium Planning Meetings

The WASH Symposium  is a two-day event that brings together academics, practitioners, students, and community members to discuss relevant topics in water, sanitation, and hygiene globally. It's an entirely student-driven event and the planning starts now! Students interested in helping with the event planning should attend these weekly meetings and email Matt Bentley (matthew.bentley@colorado.edu) with any questions.

Posner Center Collaboration Celebration 2016

Join the Posner Center community at the 4th Annual Collaboration Celebration. This year's event will feature special keynote speaker Governor John Hickenlooper, a silent auction, and a dance performance. It's a fun event with over 300 people in attendance. Food and drink will be provided. Register now! It's only $10 per person.

Want to volunteer? Help is needed for general event management like checking people in, helping with food and beverages, supporting the auction, check-out and clean-up. Volunteers are encouraged to connect and network with attendees as well, and you'll get free event admission. They'd love help from 4pm to about 9 or 10 pm. Global Health Advanced First Aid Course

CU's Anschutz Medical Campus is offering this GHAFA course for a discounted price ($395 for TWO people). This three-day, 24-hour program prepares global workers, travelers, and students to identify and respond to common first aid, emergency, and serious medical situations in an international, austere environment. The  Engineering Sustainability Conference 2017: Innovation and the Triple Bottom Line, will be held April 9-11, 2017 in Pittsburgh, PA.  Abstract submissions are being accepted until October 28th. Submit them at  this link.  They also just announced their impressive slate of Plenary and Invited Speakers . Get excited and register now!

American Association of University Women

Many MCEDC students have been accepted by the Selected Professions Fellowships. They are awarded to women who intend to pursue degree programs where women's participation traditionally has been low (architecture, computer/information sciences, engineering, mathematics/statistics). ICWA Fellowship Program

The Institute o f Current World Aff airs  Fellowship represents a generous investment in the future of a Fellow. The ultimate aim of the ICWA Fellowship program is to cultivate deep expertise in foreign countries and cultures. We achieve this by supporting a Fellow over a two year period, during which she or he carries out an immersive program of self-designed, independent study abroad.
