Congratulations Aaron Opdyke, PhD!

Aaron Opdyke, PhD, has officially accepted a tenure-track faculty position at the University of Sydney in the Humanitarian Engineering department. Aaron will teach courses in Humanitarian Engineering and will conduct research in the area.  He will also teach Engineering for Sustainable Development. Info on the program.

Optimization Under Uncertainty in Power Systems

Arctic Utility Distribution Course
Spring 2018

This course available online via the University of Alaska Anchorage will cover holistic aspects of designing and implementing water and wastewater utilities in Cold Regions. The course will use the ASCE Cold Regions Utilities Monograph and materials in development for this text's revision, covering topics including planning, geotechnical, piping, and treatment. 2018 HLPF Call for Input

The DESA Division for Sustainable Development is launching an online blog series to promote the 2018 High Level Political forum on Sustainable Development. You can suggest original blog posts to be featured in this series, which will be posted here. The blog entries could address one of  several questions such as: How can we create sustainable & resilient societies? How can we spur implementation of SDGs 6, 7, 11, 12, 15 & 17?  How are those SDGs interlinked? What are some of the challenges in implementing these goals and how can they be addressed?   Use this form to suggest blog entries.
