Apply for an MCEDC Fellowship for Spring 2017

The 2017  Graduate Fellowship application is now available on the MCEDC website. Download the application and complete it over winter break. Applications are due on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11:59pm.  These fellowships typically range from $1,000 to $3,500 and are exclusively for current EDC students so applicants have a great chance to earn one.  If you have any questions, please contact Robyn Sandekian at

African Dance Celebration @ CU

4:30 - 7:00 pm

The African Dance course is having their final celebration this evening and its going to be a blast! There will be tons of African FOOD and lots of DANCING. Hope to see you there!

ALTEC Language Courses

ALTEC will offer Catalan, French, Italian, Japanesee, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili and Swedish non-credit courses next fall.  These classes start the week of January 11th.   To view more details,  visit the ALTEC website . Courses cost $75 (for students).

As a 2016 M.S. graduate of the EDC Certificate program in Environmental Engineering, I now have the opportunity to put theory into practice working with a small environmental justice non-profit in Oruro, Bolivia called the Center for Ecology and Andean Peoples (CEPA,

Become a Journey Leader
New Student and Family Programs is recruiting students to serve as a 2017 Journey Leader (JL).  The Journey Leader position is a new volunteer leadership experience on campus and these leaders work with new students and their families throughout their transition to the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Call for Papers:
International Research Conference on Sustainable Energy, Engineering, Materials and Environment

This event offers a platform for worldwide researchers and scientists from academia, industry and government to discuss proposals and disseminate results on sustainable energy and materials and its impact on engineering and our environment. The formation of lasting productive partnerships between the participants is also an objective of this conference. This research conference is open to all in the research and scientific community. Employment Opportunity
World Bank Summer Internship Program 

The World Bank summer intern program is now open and available until 1/31/2017.  This is a paid internship with the World Bank, and in some cases, could potentially count as a student's practicum.  Positions are in Washington, DC or abroad.  Check out the posibilities at the  Bank Internship Website.
