The Student of the Term Program, which recognizes one student (9th -12th grade) from each academic department, celebrates individual students for their efforts and/or accomplishments. Students are nominated by MCHS staff members on the basis of their individual accomplishments in the classroom for such things as (but not limited to): achieving a personal standard of excellence/character, performing in a unique manner, achieving extraordinary test scores, writing outstanding papers, and making exceptional contributions to the class. Honorees, their parents, and the nominating staff members participate in a special recognition breakfast at MCHS - South Campus. MCHS celebrates Students of the Term four times each year.

 

Honorees included: sophomore Megan Wilson - Art Department (nominated by art teacher Dana Becker), sophomore Adam Smith - Career and Technical Education Department (nominated by welding teacher Adam Yakush), freshman Victoria Walter - English Department (nominated by English teacher Laura Landers), sophomore Theo Benig - Driver Education Department (nominated by driver education teacher Dennis Carrabine), freshman Isabella Alessio - Health Department (nominated by health teacher David Barney), junior Jordan Hargreave - Mathematics Department (nominated by mathematics teacher Kelly Price), senior Kayla McComb - Music Department (nominated by music teacher Rick Anderson), sophomore Hannah Tribuzzi - Physical Education Department (nominated by physical education teacher Amy Lyons), sophomore Andrew Gonzalez - Science Department (nominated by science teacher Alexa Tancil), sophomore Arianna Karnezis - Social Studies Department (nominated by social studies Sharon Richardson), and freshman Dylan Pfieffer - World Languages Department (nominated by Spanish teacher Jeff Easthon).
