Highly accomplished marathoner and ultramarathoner Michael Wardian has been announced as the featured speaker at the Carbo Dining In. A live musical performance by the American Bombshells and a plentiful buffet are included in the ticket. Limited seats remain .

Inform and Inspire

Adjacent to the Expo, the Runners Conference is a free series of marathon-related presentations. Friday’s lineup includes MCM Talks featuring personal tales of inspiration from individual runners; MedStar Sports Medicine presents ‘The Heart of a Champion’; MCM Final Prep with an expert panel; and Meet the MCM Director Rick Nealis. On Saturday, the sessions include Strength Training for Runners presented by MedStar Sports Medicine; Runner’s World expert panel; and marathoner Chris Koch, who was born without limbs. See New MCM Apparel

Brooks will unveil the 2017 collection of MCM apparel in a special Facebook Live reveal on September 25 at noon Eastern. The entire line will be available for purchase the Brooks MCM Store at the Health & Fitness Expo from October 20-21 at the Gaylord National Resort.

The MCM website offers helpful graphics detailing transportation options for the Expo , MCM10K and MCM start. Metro will open at 6 a.m. on the morning of the MCM. Free parking is available in Crystal City for MCM runners. Parking Panda offers options to reserve a parking space in advance of MCM Day for those intending to drive.

The Motigo cheer-app has special on-course MCM motivational messages and the capability of playing cheers recorded by family and friends of individual runners. For inspiration in earbuds, download and test out the Motigo app for the MCM Virtual Training Run demo from September 22-24. Hear MCM messages and understand the technology before MCM Weekend.

New this year - MCM Brooks finisher apparel will be available online starting first thing on the morning of the MCM, but be aware that finisher apparel will not be on sale in the Finish Festival. All orders on bragging rights apparel have a guaranteed two-day delivery.

Get prepared for MCM with a free training run and workshop hosted by MedStar Sports Medicine in DC. The September program includes an optional 30-minute training run led by Michael Wardian, followed by a workshop on “when to see a doctor and what you can train through.”
